EVENT INFORMATION

Rental of the Lakeside Inn for your event will entail the following rates and rules:

 

When you have decided to book your wedding you are entitled to 2 one hour appointments at no charge any appointments after this incur a fee of $50 per hour.

Event for ____________________will end promptly at 11:00 pm Michigan time. No exceptions. Guests not staying at the inn will be expected to depart from the inn at the end of the event.

1.    Rental of total inn for large events. 

a.  Fee is $6,796.00 for one night. This includes 30 sleeping rooms. (Room 3 is not available)  Fee includes set up in the ballroom, 10 – 5’ round tables, 10 - 120” round linens, and 120 chairs.  Set up for anything other than what is stated for the ballroom incurs an additional fee.   Rates listed are the months of January through June and September through December and are subject to change at any time.

e.  Guest rooms one night includes 8% tax.....................$3,996.00   Rooms not booked by guests will be client’s responsibility for payment.

g. Events are not held on holiday weekends, weekends in July and August, and Apple Cider Century bike ride weekend. .The exception for these rates is July and August. And requires a two night minimum stay.  Contact me regarding rates.  

h. Maximum number of guests will be 120. 

i.     Rental fee for groups 60 and under is $1300 includes set up, tables, chairs, and linens.

             

Business Groups:  Corporate rates will apply for business groups depending on the time of year and the number of rooms. Fees will be determined by size of the group. 

      

 

Rules relating to the use of the inn, our location and/or circumstance.

 

Rental of the Inn does not include the removal or rearranging of the inns furnishings.   You are renting the facility as it is.

Our in house cater "Cravings" will be used for all catered events in the inn and will customize a menu for you. 269-469-4511. Out side caters are not allowed.

1.       Client agrees that the Manager of the inn handles all rentals for all events. Client is not allowed to bring in the services of another vendor.

2.      We do not have a liquor license.  All events with alcohol require an insured bartender.  Hard liquor and kegs are not allowed.  Alcohol is served by the bartender and will not be served or allowed after 11:00 pm.  No exceptions.  Anyone not complying or agreeing to the terms, rules and regulations will be charged an additional fee and that fee will be determined by the Manager.   Remaining alcohol will be locked in storage; the client will need to check with the innkeeper at the front desk the following morning to pick up any remaining alcohol.  .

3.      Bands/music may be played until 11:00 p.m. Michigan time.  Fee of $500 will incur if after 11:00pm eastern.

4.      Candles must be drip less, and contained in a container.

5.      Ceremonies are allowed on the beach but not the reception. Fireworks are not allowed on the beach or grounds.

                6.  Setting up chairs on the beach for a wedding is an extra fee of $1000.

                7.   Fee does not include the use of the kitchen.         

8. If you are not from Michigan, but are going to be married here, you need to obtain your marriage license at the Berrien County Clerk’s Office at 701 Main Street   in St. Joseph, Michigan 269-983-7111 ext 8233 Email  Clerk@courthouse.co.berrien.mi.us.   Valid ID picture is required.  Hours: 8:30 to 4:30. If you are looking for someone to perform the ceremony we can recommend local ministers.

9.. Client will conduct the function in an orderly manner and in full compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations and facility rules.  No Smoking in the building.  All damages and /or vandalism to the building, grounds or equipment will be charged to the client’s credit card.

11. Client agrees to take full responsibility for any and all actions of their guests, including those consuming alcohol during and after the event.  The bartender is independent of the Lakeside Inn and is paid directly by the guest. It is required of you to employ the bartender we recommend for your event Sharon Montgomery 269.466.2017.  The bartender has the right to refuse alcohol to any guest who the bartender deems intoxicated or who is not of the legal drinking age of 21.

12.  Events not ending at the appropriate time of 11:00 pm Michigan will incur an extra fee of $500 per half hour to the client booking the event. This fee will automatically be charged to your credit card.  No exceptions.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event of cancellation neither the deposit or balance paid is refundable.  If we are able to re book another event on the same date at the same fee the clients deposit will be refunded of the entire balance amount, minus a 30% cancellation fee of the amount charged for the use of the facility. 

 

Signing below acknowledges that you have read and are in full agreement of all terms contained within this contract.  The contract will not be acknowledge unless everything is completed.

 

Hold Harmless Agreement

 

The undersigned hereby agrees to save and hold harmless Deveurex L. Bowly DBA Lakeside Inn, and his respective employees, officers or agents, from any and all claims, demands, judgments or liabilities arising out of the use of Lakeside Inn relating to the consumption of liquor by user and users guest.

 

Remember - all originals of contracts and documents must be signed and returned to Manager Connie F. Williams, Lakeside Inn for your date to be held.
